It is produced by the strain of Streptomyces sp. (ATCC 39364). It has anti-tumor, anti-candida albicans activity, and can inhibit viral replication effect of herpes virus, infectious blood virus (IHNV), infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) and so on. It has good activity against mouse L1210 leukemia cells.
